Dear Players/Parent/Guardian

I would like to welcome back to this great club all returning committee, coaching staff, players and parents and a big welcome to the first timers. I would like to welcome you all and hope you enjoy the 2022 season. This introductory information should be used by all players and parents and carers to assist with getting the season started. The registration period can sometimes be a difficult time, so if you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the committee.

Congratulations to those that have volunteered their time and joined the Committee for the 2021 season. It is a tough job, long hours and sometimes not many hands to assist. However, when you watch our children, grandchildren nieces, nephews’ brothers and sisters play on a Saturday morning you realise the effort is well and truly worth it. Also, realising that without your dedication and hard work around 300 kids wouldn’t be playing this great game.

I would also like to thank those that have joined the coaching staff ranks. This can also be a tough job and requires a lot of time and effort to be put in, its sometimes thankless but is extremely rewarding.

To the mums and dads, thank you for putting your faith in this great club to give your boys and girls every opportunity to learn and improve their skills in the game of Football.

This year, all teams will be playing in a new jersey which is very exciting from the MiniRoos to our Lady Hawks and new Senior Men’s Team.

The Club’s canteen is our biggest fundraiser and our committee do an outstanding job to make this happen. However, without the help of our mums and dads in the canteen it is not possible.

Last year the help we received was excellent and I thank all those that put their hand up. Obviously, the more help we get the more funds we will raise for the club to be able to spend on our players.

Please don’t forget the club’s wonderful Committee are volunteers and give up their time and weekends for the players to get them on the field so if you see someone that needs a hand it would be great if you could help.

Likewise, if you have any issues or have an idea you would like the committee to look at, please don’t hesitate to bring it to us. The Committee is made up of mums and dads and are and more than happy to discuss anything which will help improve the club.

Last season was one like no other with Covid-19 causing major disruptions and extra requirements for players, coaches, parents, and the Committee. We can expect there to be continued practices around how we operate in a pandemic we hope you keep safe and healthy. Please be flexible as things can change quickly from one day to the next. We hope that season 2022 will be a more “normal” season.

My last and most important message to remember that we are all here to make sure our players get the best opportunity to learn and play the great game of Soccer in a safe and enjoyable environment. I am looking forward to a great 2022 season and hope to see everyone enjoying South Toowoomba Hawks.
